A 16-week program led by a Pain Psychologist to learn effective ways to manage pain.

The PRISM group focuses on multidisciplinary strategies for pain self-management. Pain self-management empowers individuals to take control of their pain experience by using a variety of tools and techniques to improve quality of life. Pain self-management encourages people to adopt strategies that can reduce pain intensity, improve physical function, and lessen the emotional impact of pain. The strategies taught through the group include pain neuroscience education, relaxation, interventions to improve sleep, communication skills, pacing activities to prevent overexertion, cognitive-behavioral methods for managing stress and negative thoughts, and mindfulness practices to enhance present-moment awareness.
